Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Oh yes. “LS” 460 which runs on a 32v “V8" making 380Hp and 370TQ

I went on the internet and found it at a Lexus dealers near by. $16,980, haggled them down to $10k after trade of the bimmer.

Only has 75,000 miles on it. One owner, dealer maintained its whole life no accidents. Grandparent spec car.

The dealer gave me an extra key, new rotors, seat reconditioning, exterior touch up and prep and best of all, Lexus is giving me an entire new interior for FREEEE!!! New leather door panels and complete dash. That is about $26,000 in parts for freeeee!!!

Bye my German trouble roadster and hello Y ukuza Yacht.

I remember PDI’ing these cars and servicing them when I worked at the dealer in San Antonio. Any time I pulled an RO for an LS, I always though, “man, one day i’m going to have one these ” Yay depreciation!

Lol, you get me there for a second.  I was looking at used Z4s for a fun weekend car, what model and issue went down on your Z4?

they are actually not bad cars maintenance wise. 100% would buy another one in the future. Surprisingly simple machines that are well balanced and nimble AF. My problem was just lack of use. I hadn’t run it the last 3 months and hardly ever before that. My wife and I were just too busy for those awesome weekend adventures we had in this car before.

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

It needed tires. The electric roof motor took a dump. It needed brakes. I did all the typical BMW stuff to it (entire cooling system, battery, valve cover gaskets, etc). It also developed an issue that was diagnosed as it needing a new throttle body. I could of got her running again but it didn’t makes since since I just didn’t drive it ever. Climate was the main thing. N o use spending the money on those few issue s plus the regular ware items. I was just going to sell it when I stumbled across the LS. Made sense just to take it in to them as a down payment.

Very nice indeed.

Why/how is Lexus ponying up on a new interior?

Will they let you have the old interior to clean and sell?

throttle body issue. Didn’t makes since spending the money on it and some other things it needed over just trading it in on the Yakuza Yacht.

Very nice.  These were under my radar until I saw one in a pretty rare but gorgeous maroon color. They look to be the ultimate highway cruiser.  And you totally got me with the “LS swapped” tag!  Envious of your negotiation skills, sounds like you really did well.

Nice but it needs a set of not-bland wheels. It needs JDM VIP-style wheels but maintain factory diameter (and maybe +.5 to +1 versus factory width) do you don’t have to run rubber band tires.

thanks buddy!

It’s a warranty campaign through Lexus directly. Hammerhead said they did it as well on his GX470. Since it’s done that way, they hold on to the parts.

This will get “y ou ”’d the proper way. Slowly aquireing all the things i need to keep the Yakuza Yacht shiny

Thanx buddy. It cruises exceptionally well.

lol been clickbaiting oppo since 2012 I think :]

Best poker face was genuinely not being interested in buying. Just stopped by to check it out but dealerships really don’t want to hold on to pre- owned “ cars” . They need those out of the lot so that they can make money selling more pre- owned SUVs and crossovers. They don’t budge on those prices haha :] SUV’s and crossovers e specially are HOT sellers, not large V8 grandparent cars.

Haha! Nice bait and switch on us!

Very different from the Z4 experience, but it’s nice to change things up and enjoy a different aspect of motoring for a while. This should definitely help isolate you from the Houston traffic bullshit and make things more serene.

Heck yeah man. Too many assholes in general traffic but in the Z4, i’ve had people spit on me, purposely   roll coal on me, call me f* g and all sorts of other shit.

Nice, if Lexus are going to do it for no cost to you, who’s going to say no.

White takes a little more care, no so much because it shows all the dirt, but because it can take a bit of effort to make it really shine as opposed to a white or dull white.

Careful cleaning the car in bright sun light, you can get pink spots in your eyes and damage your eyes in the glare.

Yo ur thoughts on ceramic spray for the exterior?

Kinja'd!!! Svend > EL_ULY
03/09/2019 at 15:22

Kinja'd!!!0

Cleaning is okay in the sun, white doesn’t really get hot, and you can wear sunglasses. It’s the drying and protecting that takes more static time.

Ceramic coa ting or sealant spray?

Gyeon do some great, easy to apply stuff such as Gyeon Cure as a standalone sealant or drying aid.

Chemical Guys White Wax and Jet Seal P aint Sealant have consistently gotten good reviews for white cars over the years.

I’ve not come across that one before, apparently it’s quite new

Interesting science, making what once was a small applicator applied product into a larger sprayable, quick flash off product.

I’d apply like any other coating, ie after a good polish, then isopropy alcohol/panel wipe, wipe down. Then in this instance, you apply by spraying onto a small towel cloth, do the whole panel and then buff with another cloth.
